## Position Overview: Junior Mine Geologist
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Junior Mine Geologist to join our dynamic operations team. This role is pivotal in maintaining our reputation for excellence by ensuring precise geological management and upholding the highest safety standards in the field.
Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Mine Geologist, you will play a hands-on role in daily operations. Your core responsibilities will include:
* Safety Leadership: Champion personal HSE performance and contribute to the company’s safety culture by participating in monthly safety meetings.
* Operational Compliance: Strictly enforce safety protocols, including JSEA, safe work permits, hot work permits, and isolation/tag-out procedures.
* Incident Management: Ensure that accident investigations are conducted with rigorous standards and that all safety training requirements are met by the team.
* Technical Oversight: Manage grade control and blast hole drilling programs, while closely monitoring QA/QC for sampling and assaying processes.
* Field Mapping: Execute pit mapping during ore spotting activities and the initiation of new drilling campaigns.
* Production Coordination: Coordinate daily with the production department to meet output targets and provide weekly drilling and ore inspection reviews.
* Data Management: Assist the Database Geologist in managing daily operational data, including drilling, production metrics, and Fleet Management Systems (FMS).
Qualifications and Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate technical proficiency and a commitment to professional growth. We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
* Education: A Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Geological Engineering from an accredited university.
* Experience: At least one year of professional experience in mining geology, with a focus on grade control and operational mining environments.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and competency in 3D geological modeling software, such as Surpac or similar industry-standard programs.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Indonesian.
* Regulatory Knowledge: A solid understanding of mining safety standards, including HSE procedures, JSEA, and Work Permit Systems.
* Professional Attributes: Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team.
* Flexibility: Must be willing to work at our site-based operations under a rotation roster.
* Preferred Assets: Possession of a valid driver’s license (SIM A/B) and a Pengawas Operasional Pertama (POP) certification will be considered a significant advantage.
